Overview
We are Canada's largest and most diverse youth volleyball club, with players and staff from all socio-economic, ethnic and cultural groups, as well as players and staff with special needs. All our players, no matter their skill level, receive equal quality instruction from our coaches.
The Club
The Pakmen Volleyball Club, established in 2002, is a Mississauga based youth volleyball club affiliated with the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) and Volleyball Canada. We are a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization partially funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Our Purpose
We are dedicated to teaching the skills and tactics of volleyball and the principles of sport-culture to young people to help them realize their maximum potential and aspirations. We strive to provide quality programs for youth of all skill levels and to reach out to those who traditionally do not play volleyball at the club level.
Our Accomplishments
We are Canada's largest and most diverse youth volleyball club, with players and staff from all socio-economic, ethnic and cultural groups, as well as players and staff with special needs. All our players, no matter their skill level, receive equal quality instruction from our coaches. Our rep team coaches also coach our non-rep team programs. We are 5-time National Champions and 16-time Provincial Champions (as of April 2011). Dozens of our players have earned university and college volleyball scholarships.
Our Programs
Our inaugural year started with one rep team. Since then, we have grown to include the SPIKES Learn-to-Play program, the Development and Champions Leagues, Technique Tutoring, a Jr. High and High School division of the GTA Premier League, the Summer Volleyball Camp, the Beach Academy, the MBVA (Mississauga Beach Volleyball Association) as well as ten rep teams.
