Pakmen Volleyball is pleased to announce the signing of Jessy Satti as Head Coach for the Pakmen 15U men’s team for this upcoming season. The announcement comes at the heels of the beach season, as Satti and the syndicate of beach teams he coached throughout the summer dominated the Ontario Volleyball Association’s beach tour.
The announcement marks the first time Satti will head coach an indoor team, although much over due. His volleyball career began in 2003 as a member of Pakmen’s 14U team. He played rep throughout high school and was an integral part of the Pakmen 18U National Championship team in 2008.
For Jessy, it was only natural to transition from player to coach. He began his coaching career 5 years ago with Pakmen Volleyball’s beach programs. Since then, his team’s have won major tournaments each and every summer on the beach tour. He has also acted as an assistant coach and setter coach for various championships teams in our club.
“Jessy has a very strong technical understanding of the game,” says Pakmen founder Kelly Smith. “He understands the importance of fundamentals and is phenomenal at motivating his players.”
The 2014 Beach Tour was one to remember for Pakmen, thanks in large to Jessy. Under his tutelage, Pakmen teams struck Gold in the U13,U14,U15, and U16 divisions!
Jessy brings with him the experience and knowledge of high level volleyball. As a former varsity athlete, he has played multiple positions throughout his career and understands that having a complete skill set is necessary, no matter what position is being played.
Jessy will be taking over last year’s highly rated 14U team.
With Jessy on board, there’s no doubt in our minds that they will compete on a national stage.
