Development League
The Development League teaches the fundamentals of volleyball through a mix of instruction, drills, and competition. The Development League caters to participants in the following divisions: Grades 5-6, 7-8 and 9-12.
Volleyball is a great non contact team sport that encourages kids to make friends, develop skills, problem solve and enhance their physical literacy. Our programs will give your child the skills and confidence to enjoy volleyball for life.

Players who want to play in the Grade 5-6 Development League should have already played in our Spikes Learn to Play program and received a Silver Certificate Medal. Or, the child can be recommended for the program by the Spikes coach when receiving their ‘What’s Next’ report on the last class.
The Grade 7-8 Development League is an introductory volleyball league for middle school students who already have some experience playing volleyball e.g. Pakmen Technique Tutoring or Spikes for one or two seasons.
The Grade 9-12 Development League is an introductory volleyball league for high school students. They should have played in one of our programs before, or have some experience playing volleyball. If they are new to volleyball, we recommend they enroll in Technique Tutoring for one season, then move up to the Development League.
Each weekly session includes instruction and drills where players learn and practice serving, passing, and hitting, and how to play defense within a team system.
By the end of the program, players will be more skilled individually and will be better team players.
All players receive an official Pakmen T-shirt and participate in a championship with medals and prizes on the last day.
