Volleyball for Girls – GTA Premier League

The GTA Premier League is an advanced volleyball league for girls who play on school teams. The league has six divisions: Grades 7-8, 8, 9, 10, and 11-12. Pakmen started the league 15 years ago to provide talented girls with an opportunity to play competitive volleyball on a weekly basis, under the guidance of excellent NCCP certified volleyball coaches.

Volleyball is a great sport that teaches young athletes the fundamentals of teamwork, leadership and skill building. Our programs will help enhance physical literacy and provide your child with the skills and confidence to enjoy volleyball for life.

Teams are limited to nine players, and everyone plays equally. Each session includes 30-45 minutes of technical skill training (passing, serving, setting, hitting, and defensive skills) with the remaining time devoted to game play.

During the school year, the older players (e.g. Grades 7-12) play a full season, October to June, while the younger players (e.g. Grades 5-6) register in separate seasons (e.g. Fall, Winter and Spring). This year all players will register in separate seasons (e.g. Fall, Winter and Spring). In addition, a summer league is offered for every age group. Each season concludes with a championship where official Pakmen customized gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the top three teams and prizes are rewarded to the remaining teams.

Please note that Pakmen players in Grade 5-6, who have completed their Gold winit certificate, or been recommended by a coach on their “What’s Next” report, will also qualify to be in the GTA Premier League. For Grades 7-12, athletes are required to be on their school volleyball team or get a recommendation from one of our coaches.

Each player will receive an official GTA Premier League T-shirt at the beginning of the program.

Many GTA Premier League players also register for the Middle / High School Volleyball Leagues!
