Below you will find an overview of all the programs we offer youth, in grades 1 to 6.
Players begin in Spikes which is a learn-to-play program for kids in grades 1 to 6 or Technique Tutoring, for those in grades 6 to 12.
After one or more seasons in Spikes players in grades 5 or 6 will be promoted to 5/6 Development League where they should expect to remain for 3 full seasons. After 3 full seasons, they may move to 5/6 Champions League.
Players who are in grade 5/6 and play on their school teams may begin in 5/6 Champions League.
5/6 Champions League is the highest level in our club, aside from u12 rep team.
This program is for children in grades 1 to 6 (players separated by age), eager to learn a new sport in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Players remain in this program until they are in grade 5 when they can move up to 5/6 Development League. They will be taught the skills and techniques of the game and learn how to judge where the ball is going so they can react and move their feet accordingly.
This program provides lessons in small groups (maximum 6 per class) for beginners in grades 6 to 12. It is recommended for beginners who are too old to join Spikes and/or players who thrive in learning in a small group.
This program is for players who have gone through Spikes or Technique Tutoring or who have experience in addition to volleyball in gym class at school. This program teaches the fundamentals of volleyball through a mix of instruction, drills and game play each class. Players should expect to be in this program for three full seasons. After 3 full seasons, they may move to 5/6 Champions League.
This program is for players who have gone 3 full seasons through the Development League or have played on their school team. Champions League has the same format and curriculum as the Development League (e.g., teaches the fundamentals of volleyball through a mix of instruction, drills and game play each class) but within a group of more experienced participants.
