Accomplishments
For more than two decades, Pakmen Volleyball has helped athletes progress from their first years in the sport to Canada’s national teams and the highest levels of international competition.
Pakmen alumni have competed at the Olympic Games, Volleyball Nations League, World Championships, Pan American competitions, NORCECA Championships and youth national-team events around the world.
3 PAKMEN OLYMPIANS
Three Pakmen alumni have represented Canada at the Olympic Games—two in indoor volleyball and one in beach volleyball.
Tokyo 2020
A Pakmen athlete from 2011–2016, Sharone won multiple indoor and beach Provincial and National Championships before progressing to Canada’s Senior National Team and the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Paris 2024
An 18U Provincial and National Champion and National Championship MVP with Pakmen, Xander progressed through Canada’s national-team system to the Senior National Team, VNL, World Championships and Paris 2024.
Paris 2024 • Beach Volleyball
A member of Pakmen’s first 18U National Championship team in 2008 and a tournament All-Star, Daniel became one of Canada’s top beach volleyball players and represented Canada at Paris 2024.
2026 Volleyball Nations League
Sharone Vernon-Evans, Xander Ketrzynski, Jackson Young, Cory Schoenherr and Quintin Greenidge appeared together on Canada’s Week 2 VNL roster—another milestone for Pakmen’s athlete-development pathway.
2025 World Championship
Sharone Vernon-Evans, Xander Ketrzynski and Jackson Young represented Canada at the 2025 Men’s World Championship, where Canada advanced to the round of 16.
Pakmen’s presence throughout Canada’s national-team pathway continues to grow.
