Gettn’ Better is a volleyball training program for serious middle school and high school players who understand that the path to volleyball greatness requires tens of thousands of quality ‘touches’*. Through Gettn’ Better, players will practice hundreds of meaningful contacts with constant feedback from our rep coaches. No attention to detail will be spared.
Volleyball is a great sport that teaches young athletes the fundamentals of teamwork, leadership, and skill building. Our programs will help enhance physical literacy and provide your child with the skills and confidence to enjoy volleyball for life.
Gettn’ Better will provide players with 500 quality ‘touches’ in 90 minutes of purposeful practice each week. With the focus on individual contacts and skills, players will get three times more quality ‘touches’ each session, compared to a regular school or rep team practice.
By the end of this program, players can expect to have much better ball control and added finesse to their game.
This weekly volleyball training program is divided into two age groups: Grades 7-8 and Grades 9-12. Each participant will receive an official Pakmen Volleyball T-shirt.
*Touches – Every time a player makes contact with the ball.

They will ask health screening questions to ensure no one with COVID symptoms enters the building and collect data to enable contact tracing. Only players will be permitted in the facility to ensure smaller numbers (no parents or spectators). The exception is Canlan Sports where one parent per child will be permitted inside the facility. Pakmen staff will conduct temperature checks when players enter the volleyball courts. Hand sanitizing stations will be placed around the venue and athletes and staff will wash their hands regularly. Coaches will wear masks at all times. Players will have to follow the latest Ministry of Health/Ontario Volleyball guidelines with regards to wearing masks during physical activity. Physical distancing of 2m will be enforced during these times. Volleyballs will be sanitized regularly.
