Our Summer Camps!

  • August 27, 2015

For the 8th year in a row, Pakmen Volleyball’s acclaimed volleyball summer programs are back! After experiencing much success at our David Leeder location, we have expanded to Thomas Street Middle School. Our new location features a double indoor gym, and is home to the Trillium Beach Courts.

Programs start in the first week of July and run all the way through August.

“This summer, the programs are off to a phenomenal start,” says veteran coach Jessy Satti. “With the brand new beach courts that have been built at Thomas Street, we are able to accomodate double the participants. It is very exciting”

Summer camps include both half day and full day options.

So what does a typical day at camp look like?

Camps typically start at 9:00 am, but early drop off at 8:00 am is allowed, free of charge. To ensure that players are playing against the right competition, the camp is divided by age and skill level. During the morning, both the indoor courts and beach courts are used. Warmups include fun games, and basic drills. After a couple hours of playing we break for lunch. This hour long break gives players a time to relax, re-energize, and socialize.

After lunch, the camp runs mini-tournaments for an hour. At this time, participants attending for the half day sessions are picked up and go home with a freezie. The full day participants spend the rest of the day playing various sports and engaging in fun activities. Camps end at 4:00 pm, however, late pick up is available until 5:00 pm – free of charge!

Our number one focus is to make sure the kids have fun.

“This is my third year at summer camp,”says Olivia, a camp participant. “I think every year I have more fun because I get to learn volleyball and play other great sports.”

Programs are also offered on the weekends. For more information, or to register click here!
