Choi Commits to Coach Ms Pakmen U18

  • August 26, 2015

Pakmen Volleyball is pleased to announce that Daphne Choi is back on board for the upcoming volleyball season! When it comes to volleyball, Choi is as passionate as they come and her commitment to the sport reaches far beyond our club. The 18u Ms. Pakmen squad is ready to come out firing this coming October!

A late bloomer to the game, Choi fell in love with the sport as a university student after focusing heavily on softball and basketball in her younger years. After attending practices and clinics for the sport, she went on to play with Chinese powerhouse Toronto Flying Tigers in the North American Chinese Volleyball Circuit.

With her playing career over, Choi is now an integral member of Ontario’s volleyball community. It’s tough to decide where to begin when mentioning Choi’s contributions to the sport. For starters, the has been an Executive Member of the Christian Volleyball Association for nearly a decade. She also helped found the Toronto United Volleyball Club, a club that competes in the North American Chinese Volleyball Circuit. She currently serves as an assistant coach for the team. Additionally, Choi was an assistant coach of a region 5 team that won bronze at the Ontario Winter Games this past year. To top it all off, Daphne Choi is also a certified OVA official.

With Choi, working hard equates to having fun. Her team’s are well disciplined and love accomplishing their goals. “My athletes are my inspiration every day for continuing to coach,” says Choi. “The Pakmen brand is associated to dedication, teamwork, and development, 3 things that have always been the core of my coaching program.”

We’re glad your back Daphne! We look forward to what this upcoming season has in store for you and Pakmen 18u Girls!
