Koppers impresses on International stage

Congratulations are extended to former Pakmen standout Brandon Koppers for his stellar play at the U21 NORCECA (North and Central America and Caribbean) Championship’s in El Salvador this past week. The Georgetown, Ontario native was named the “Blocker of the Tournament,” after leading all players in the final match in blocks.

 

To add to his Blocker of the Tournament award, Koppers was awarded the top overall scorer for Canada for his dominating attack throughout the tournament. He also was named ‘Spiker of the Tournament’ with the best kill ratio in the tournament (59%)!

 

Koppers lead Team Canada to a second place finish after falling at the hands of Cuba in the gold medal match. This came after upsetting the Americans in the semi-finals; a team that had won the previous two U21 NORCECA Championships.

 

With the second place finish, Team Canada is set to compete in next year’s FIVB World Championships.
