Ms Pakmen U13 wins 3rd Gold this year!

Ms Pakmen travelled to Stouffville on March 2nd in search of their 3rd Gold medal of the year. It would be difficult task this time as they would face two teams who have won gold medals at 13U tournaments this year as well.

In pool play Ms Pakmen first met with STVC Devils a team they faced and defeated twice in the previous 13U tournament. The result would be the same with Ms Pakmen winning 2-0, 25-13, 25-23. Next up a far more difficult task facing the Markham Stingers who won gold at their first 13U tournament this year. The Ms Pakmen team was eager to prove themselves and did so winning in a hard fought match 2-0, 25-19, 25-19. Winning their pool meant they would now face the Etobicoke Titans Atlas and win 2-0, 25-6, 25-12. In the semi finals they would face the silver medalist they defeated in the finals of their last 13U tournament E381. The team was determined to get to the gold medal match again, winning impressively 2-0, 25-13, 25-12.

In the finals Ms Pakmen would face a team they had never played. STVC Top Gun had won gold and silver in their previous two 13U tournaments this year and received the number one ranking for this tournament. The finals would turn out to be quite a barnburner with both teams fighting for every point. But in the end the Ms Pakmen girls would be victorious and defeat STVC Top Gun 2-1, 19-25, 25-22, 15-13. This is the fourth medal for the Ms Pakmen girls. In three 13U tournaments this year they have now won two gold medals along with a 13U bronze, losing only one match over all 13U tournament this year. They also have a 14U Gold medal and were recently one of only a few 13U teams in the Championship Division for 14U.

Team members are; Darena, Carolina , Rachel, Madeline, Caprice, Chantal, Brianna, Alex, Tea, and Reese.
