Volleyball Canada Centre of Excellence Mississauga Annouces Olympic Coach Lennard Krapp

V.C.C.E. Mississauga is pleased to announce the appointment of Olympic Coach Lennard Krapp as a lead coach.

Lennard joins Orest Stanko (most successful coach in OUA history) and Ryerson University Head Coach Dustin Reid and Strength and Conditioning Coach Brad Thorpe as the Lead Coaches at this Centre. For more Lennard’s Bio, see below. For more information about the program, please go here.

Lennard Krapp has been involved in the international volleyball scene for over 25 years and has amassed an extensive resume in this sport, including:
Coach instructor and learning facilitator for indoor and beach volleyball in Germany and Canada.
Coach at various German Bundesliga indoor clubs for men and women: 1984-2000
2012 Olympic Coach with the Beach National Team at the London Games
Volleyball Canada Beach National Team Head Coach: 2009-2012
Coached Beach National Teams at Pan Am Games, Universiade, Senior World Championships, FIVB World Tour Events and Continental Cup Finals
German National Team Coach for Youth, Junior & Under 23: 1997-2008
33 medals at Junior World Championships and Junior European Championships from 1997-2008
Memorable indoor highlight while coaching the Bundesliga team of FT Adler Kiel:
Defeating the 33 time Soviet Champion and 13 time European Cup Champion, the Central Sports Army Club Moscow popularly referred to as Red Army Club Moscow.
Notable contributions to beach volleyball:
Built the development and support systems for the German and Canadian National Federations. Identified and coached the Olympic Gold Medalists Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann as well as many other German Olympians, during their time in the German development program.
During the past 2013/14 indoor season, Lennard has supported the following Pakmen rep teams as the technical coach:
13U boys, 14U boys, 16U boys GOLD, 16U boys BLACK, 13U girls and 16U girls
During the 2013 and 2014 beach seasons Lennard has worked for Pakmen’s rep athlete beach volleyball program.
In 2013 & 2014 he has worked as the personal or skill coach for several Beach Volleyball National Team Athletes like Josh Binstock, Sam Schachter, Daniel Dearing, Sergey Grabovsky, Chris Towe, Will Hoey, Will Sidgwick, Sven Trodel, Tia Miric, Sophie Bukovec, Victoria Altomare and Julie Gordon.
