The Javelin App is a volleyball-focused platform that allows users to easily find games in their local volleyball community, connect with players, and join tournaments of various skill levels. While Javelin is predominantly centred around volleyball it does offer groups for other sports (such as basketball). But the Javelin App goes beyond simply organizing fun volleyball games. At Javelin we believe that there is a perfect game for everyone, and we’ve made it our goal to build a community where you can have fun, socialize, and play some good volleyball.
What Javelin Does:

Where We Do It
The Javelin App is based predominantly in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area including Markham, Mississauga, Etobicoke and recently Oshawa. As one of the city’s fastest-growing volleyball communities, Javelin has made its mark by offering numerous drop-ins across the GTA with multiple time slots to fit your busy schedule. How We Do It

Javelin helps users in finding the perfect game tailored to their skill level by categorizing skill levels in our games to ensure participants have the best volleyball drop-in experience possible.
Our Goal
At our core, Javelin Sports aims to foster a community where individuals can have fun, socialize, and engage in exciting volleyball games. The name ‘Javelin’ itself embodies a sense of community and enjoyment. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Greek Olympics, where the javelin throw symbolized passion and community, Javelin Sports emphasizes these very values in all our endeavours.
Users of the Javelin App have consistently expressed their satisfaction, highlighting its utility in finding drop-in games and its active community. Recognized as the top drop-in volleyball app in Toronto, Javelin Sports serves as a unique platform for discovering local volleyball games and connecting with like-minded individuals.
The Javelin Team Rating System:
At a recent tournament, we unveiled our new “Team Rating System”, derived from the Elo system in chess. This process assigns teams with a starting score which then fluctuates based on the team’s performance, allowing the rating algorithm to match teams against similarly skilled opponents at future matchups. While the system is still relatively new, and in the process of improvement, the team rating system is designed to create a level playing field at future Javelin Matchups.
No more will players need to worry about getting dominated by a higher-skilled team or face the lull of a slow game when matched with a lower-skilled team. This rating system will create an environment of healthy and fun competition for all players at all skill levels.
