After years of dominating the men’s volleyball scene in Ontario, Pakmen is determined to make an impression on the women’s side of the sport. It appears to be well on its way of achieving this goal with 14u athletes Caitlin Le and Julia Wiercigroch.

The duo is dominating the Ontario Beach Tour in ways never seen before.

For starters, they’re undefeated. The pair has never lost a set, let alone a match. In addition, Le and Wiercigroch recently took down the defending national champs, in two straight sets. Furthermore, the duo doesn’t just win – they win big. In their second tournament, the team met an experienced team from Durham Attack in the finals. After a semi-close first set win, Le and Wiercigroch turned it up a notch and handily defeated their opponents 21-0.

The team credits their success to their ability to focus on passing and communication. “In beach volleyball, your skill level is really on display,” says Le. “It’s not always about killing the ball.”

Le and Wiercigroch currently hold a 30-0 record, and are aiming to stay undefeated throughout the season, en route to a National Championship.
