Pakmen Boys Golden at Provincials!!!

Congratulations are extended to Mark Dildar and Peter Rugosi for their stellar performance at the 13u Beach Provincial Championships at Ashbridges Bay this past weekend! The Pakmen standouts struck gold after their straight set victory in the finals. Peter and Mark were on fire throughout the day, using their strong serves and ball control to their advantage, handily defeating their opponents. Peter and Mark are no strangers to volleyball success. The duo kicked off their OVA careers with the Pakmen 13u boy’s team, and were a part of a powerhouse that dominated competition en route to an indoor provincial championship. It was only fitting that the duo continued to build on their success on the sand. The boys were out to make a statement in the gold medal match. Ashraf and Saqib, Mark and Peter had the confidence and motivation to win gold. They peaked in the finals and did not disappoint.“In the gold medal match we played the best we’ve played all season,” says Peter Rugosi. “Mark played great, we listened to our coach, and the strategies worked.”Mark was eager to divert the praise to his teammate.“Peter was intense throughout the day,” says Mark. “He was sensational in the semi-final match against our indoor teammates.”

Peter and Mark are the third Pakmen team to win division one gold at the Ontario Provincial Championships this summer after Saad and Avy who won gold the previous weekend in the 14u division, and Parvir and Sharone repeated as provincial champs in the 16u division.“The boys played strong all day,” says coach Jessy Satti. “They are extremely poised for a team at that age, and will only get better throughout their careers!” Good job boys!
