Pakmen Summer Program

The Pakmen Summer Volleyball camp is a great opportunity for children between the ages of seven to 14 of all skill levels to have fun, stay fit, and develop volleyball skills.
“It’s unreal,” said Jessy Satti, one of the program coaches and a highly-decorated Pakmen veteran. “They get a chance to play volleyball every single day for the week. They cover every skill from bumping to volleying and serving. We do tournaments every day. They get the skills but they also get to play a lot of games.”
The program is broken down into two sections, full-day and half-day. The two groups are broken up between the beach volleyball and indoor volleyball courts in the morning, and are switched at 10:30, ensuring equal playtime for both groups. After a fun warm-up game, the groups go through various drills and exercises, honed to each specific skill level.
After lunch, both groups get an opportunity to play some games. After the half-day program ends at 1 p.m., the remaining kids spend the day doing various activities like dodgeball, soccer, hockey, performing skits, watching volleyball videos, and other games. But at the end of the day the focus is back on volleyball.
“I think it’s an amazing opportunity,” said Lisa Palmer, whose son Robbie is in the program. “They not only offer the volleyball skills, they learn sportsmanship which is really important, and they also have a great variety of activities. It’s not just volleyball all day, they have dodgeball, baseball, soccer and additional offerings to vary it up and keep it exciting and interesting. I know my son was really excited about the fact that they have tournaments today. Getting them ready for some long term success in the sport of volleyball is great, but the most important thing is that they’re having fun with it.”
The camp starts at 9 a.m. with early drop-off offered as early as 8 a.m. The half-day program ends at 1 p.m. while the full-day program goes until 5 p.m. The program runs in weekly intervals from July 9 to Aug. 17. Click here for more information.
