Congratulations to U18 Pakmen standout Chris Towe for qualifying to represent Canada at the U21 World Beach Volleyball Championships in Cyprus this summer!

The men’s team will consist of 19-year-old Sergey Grabovsky (Aurora, ON) and Chris Towe (Caledon, ON), who is 18. They won the final match of the U21 Selection Tournament – 21-12, 21-16 – over Liam Kopp (St. Catharines, ON) and Sven Trodel (Sudbury, ON).

“The game went really well,” said Grabovsky. “Although we only started playing together three months ago, we worked hard and spent a lot of time preparing for the trials.”

“The boys were incredibly focused in the final. They played well and deserved to win” commented their coach Lennard Krapp.

The tournament was held this week at the Volleyball Canada Beach High Performance Facility, Downsview Park, in Toronto.
